cashing fake checks to support her drug habit cbs 58's kyle aevermann reports from waukesha county. the couple targeted this enterprise credit union, where one of the suspects worked. worked.the criminal complaint says between january of 2015 and march of this year, anna chaberek and her fiancee anthony tourtillott cashed 328 fraudlent checks into 6 different bank accounts.the complaint says an investigation into the two began after an audit of the enterprise credit union showed a discrepancy of over $300,000.tourtillott told detectives that the two had an agreement, that chaberek would provide the checks, and tourtillott would conduct the transition and then use that money to prchase percocet pills and split between the two.the criminal complaint says chaberek also used her father and sister's accounts to depoist and withdraw counterfeit checks of $980. the family members had no idea. the complaint also say chaberek would issue a stop payment once the checks were cashed and then hid them in a customers account.both are now charged with four counts of theft in a business setting ove

cbs 58's kyle aevermann joins us live from miller park with a closer look at what selig had to say. bud selig already has a permeant home here outside miller park.but now his name will live on in baseball history. this morning the 82 year old spoke at a press conference.he was given a hall of fame jersey.he was one of ten voted into the baseball hall of fame by "the today's game committee" over the weekend.. it was 1970 when bud selig bought the seattle pilots and moved them to his hometown of tenure with the brewers, selig served 22 years as commissioner of major league baseball. the second longest person to hold that position. as commissioner, he implemented important changes throughout the game. he also expanded the sport from 16 teams to 30.selig became the fifth of 10 commissioners to reach the hall.. something he says he is truly grateful for. cbs 58's kyle aevermann has the details. it's official both morgan geyser and anissa weier will be tried seperatly. this morning morgan gesyer and her attorney's were in court. a competency report was received defendants would be tried separately.as part of this morning's hearing, we heard from former waukesha county sheriff deputy paul rinkas.he arrested geyser after finding her and wier at the edge of a forestline back in 2014.rinkas said he read geyser her miranda rights...and she agreed to it. that geyser told him that she was forced to kill her best friend and made references to slenderman. rinkas said he had never heard of slenderman before that.we also heard testimony from an officer from the waukesha police department who arrest.and it was the first time he as well heard of slenderman. both geyser and weier have pleaded not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect and will be tried as adults. geyser will be back in court on feb 13th for an oral hearing. anissa weier is expected to be in court december 22nd. repor

cbs 58's kyle aevermann joins us live from the milwaukee county courthouse with the latest on the recount effort. kyle? the state eleciton commission is reporting more than 95 percent of all ballots have been recounted for, and there are only a few wards who still that includes the city of milwaukee who still needs to report absentee ballots. statewide, trump has gained 628 votes, and clinton has gained 653...... according to the wisconsin state journal.so there really hasn't been much change.you may recall the recount brought on by green party candidate jill stein, who paid $3.5 million to cover estimated costs.stien said she didn't the recount would change the outcome of the of the due process. over the weekend, she took to twitter to say: we expect bank tellers to double- check money before handing it to us. let's double-check election results, too. #recount2016 all recounts have to be reported to the election commission by 8pm tonight. 3 ((???1:45 seconds??)) drew controversy because of the cost to the homeowners whose very health is at stake.cbs 58's kyle aevermann reports from city hall. in a 12 to 3 vote, milwuakee's common council passedor mandates the replacement of lead service lines on private p. property.so what does this mean?if you have a lead service line and it breaks.. the city will pay the majority of the replacement.but homeowners would be required to pay one third of the repair or a maximum of 16-hundred dollars. and that could be spread out in payments over a 10 year period. period. the goal is to get rid of those old lead lines that were installed more than 50 years ago.there were a few amendments added the the ordinance this morning the city as a whole.and creating a communication file, so the council can get regular updates on how repairs are affecting the city.while that was enough for most of the council, councilman borcowski felt like the city needed more time to look at funding to reduce the cost for homeowners. homeowners.i honestly know that all of us would rather just say government will pick up the entire tab. i get th

cbs 58's kyle aevermann has the details. the pension error was brought up during this morning's personnel committee. committee.according to the county executive's office the mistakes were reported between 2007 and 2009.the errors were reported to the irs and the county took part of the irs' volunteary correction plan.a county executive's spokesperson told me today that the county could not legally back pay the pensions until the irs completed a report.that was completed earlier this year. however the county wasn't able to verify to roughly, 12-hundred people until last month.plus an additional 6 millino dollars in the future.county board members are upset they were not notified sooner about the costs.the county board says that the time between 2009 and now resulted in a dramatically larger lump sum payment because of an interest rate of 8% annually.there are question about why the cost wasn't brought to their attention before completing the 2017 budget. supervisor james schmitt "no it's not in 2017, but it'd help if it was i
