anyone heading to the northwest or last-minute shoppers. 5:30 in the morning on saturday this is where we have some snow and maybe icy conditions for the interstate up in pennsylvania and also down through parts of west virginia. our region, just looking at showers. temperatures will be warm enough for just rain. not going to deal with what we had last saturday. 9:30 in the morning on saturday, yeah texas going to be rainy a -- it's going to be aging good imbit but by will -- raining a good built butly the early afternoon already getting out of the way and dry out in time the christmas day is looking good. okay let's show you that second system i'm watching for when everyone is traveling home on monday. this is the system that's actually going to slide into our region come saturday. you see how it comes a little bit of snow from minneapolis up through wisconsin. just about 1 to 3 inches for them. here are the showers by saturday at 9:30 in the morning. that's one. now here's storm number two. this is saturday 9:30 in the morning, some snow through thro sierra neves and then headed other to the rockies. snow -- over to the rockies, snow lovers are going to rejoice i

northwest winds flow. that helps to kick in the lake effect snow. and we are finding some instances of this already, through portions of central and western pennsylvania, not it mention ohio, and michigan. but, this is just classic set up for us to see some snow squawls, or left over flurries, because we are seeing this kick in, as it is, we are actually going to see little bit of that survive and roll our way, enough of persistent winds flow. if you see a snow call out there i wouldn't be shocked. if you finds yourself traveling in one, slow down, that can obviously really reduce your visibility if you are stuck in one. we are not expecting any kind of widespread coverage on the radar, certainly, not any additional accumulation out of it. that wintery atmosphere gets added to the mix after a cold front like this happens. but as the day progresses, worse of the winds is eventually going to taper off. high pressure will regain control. another front will cross through new years weekends, but at this point, it looks somewhat lack luck he is with moisture content here. we're ringing in the new year, into sunday morning, perhaps spotty stray of sprinkle o

millions in the northwest and northeast are getting a visitor from the north pole in the form of arctic air and blinding snow. there are whiteout conditions across upstate new york, on a pennsylvania interstate 59 cars and trucks piled up more quickly than the snow. demarco morgan is in a town where gusts whipping off lake ontario make it feel well below zero. >> reporter: officials in jefferson county, pennsylvania, blamed white-out conditions for this mallive pile-up on interstate 80 injuring three people. 22 tractor-trailers and 37 cars lost control on the slick, snowy highway. the winter blast continues to pound much of the country. lake-effect snow warnings, watch, and wind-chill advisories are in effect from northeast ohio where the snowfall caused massive delays on roads and highways to upstate new york. in rochester snow and strong winds also created blinding conditioning for motorists. dangerous roads also made it impossible for a food bank in adam, new york, to receive a much-needed delivery on time. >> it's sad, but there is nothing we can do about it. >> reporter: nancy abbott is the food bank coordinator. >> there's about 100 people each month that come. it's extra th
