first this is a map of the bay delta system.you look at the screen the optic yellow section there is the delta with the sacramento river from the north and son joaquin valley. there is a little circle there noted where hetch hetchy reservoir. we are in the middle of that. we provide about 85 percent of the regional water system supply. it is unempaired flow is 1.8 million acre feet per year on average. average is what i'll use in many cases to dif rirchiate from all years because those are two different things. we divert about 14 percent on average of the unempaired flow. the turlock and modesto divert 40port percent of the flow. the remaining 38 percent remains in the river. for reference in the dealty, san francisco divert about.7 percent of the unimpaired delta inflow similar to east bay mud and less by the water project and central valley project on thesicrimento and san joaquin rivers. this slide is one we use to describe our relationships with the irrigation districts. the hid row graph shown here over period 20 lane to 20

we also see heavy rain for parts of the east bay in berkeley over toward the delta and down to the tri-valley. let's see what's happening on the roadways as you head out. >> kari, we are busy out on the roads. i do have the saturday light radar on where you see the shaded green. that is actually where the rain is coming down and we do have some issues out on the road. chp is warning of roadway flooding around southbound highways. i think a lot of cars are starting to avoid the area. as of now they haven't closed down any lanes. and also flooding around chavez highway 280. chp was reporting 4 to 6 inches of standing water in that area. and we're also seeing a few minor crashes unrelated. it may just be because of those slick roadways. police be careful. northbound 101 to highway 87, 13 minutes, northbound 87 to 101, about ten minutes. we're seeing a few backups and slowing near the tri-valley. we were also seeing roadway flooding along that area as well. i'll keep a closer look out for more roadway flooding as well as accidents. >> certainly the fact that the last self days we've just seen non

starting now with mainly clear sky, we do have a little fog by the delta, and a live look outside, and boy, isn't this nice? looking back from the bayave clear conditions. temperatures ranging from the mid-30s down around gilroy, and 38 in san jose. and down to 41 in the city, and 46 in half moon bay. we had some 60s yesterday. we will get there again today. from our roof camera, a very nice view. and 31 in santa rosa, and patchy fog. it's 34 by the delta where you have that fog. some of it is freezing fog. concord, 36. and novato, all the way up to 45 degrees. here's a look at the fog profile. by about 11:00, it will really just be confined out towards the delta and we will continue to see that sunshine, work on it and allow for conditions to worsen as we get through the overnight hours as the fog comes back, so kind of a cool picture for you from santa cruz with numbers in the low 60s. isn't that nice? today we will do all of that again with a cold start, sunny and mild today and tomorrow we will hold on to the full sunshine. then the ridge breaks down on tuesday, and that will bring some clouds around. it's going to take until we

delta. you're taking a break before the next round of heavy rain moves in. san francisco, seeing some heavy rain. anywhere from the parts of chinatown down to the bayw district. also, the bay shore area, where it is really pouring at this point. and then also, through south city san bruno, over toward pacifica, the rain is coming down once again, we saw that in sheets, and may be blowing sideways as the winds pick up. in san mateo, heavy rain near 82, and where it gets close to 101, and then redwood city, palo alto, not seeing much in the way of rain. south bay seeing a few sprinkles at this point, but it pouring in the santa cruz mountains. this is one of the spots we are closely watching for the concern of some flooding around walnut creek, danville, san ramon, the tri-valley seeing light rain at this point. just showing you some green on the map. the bigger picture shows we're not the only ones seeing the rain. it's pretty widespread and will continue to move over toward the central valley and for the sierra. now, the unfortunate thing about this is that temperatures are way too warm for this to be all snow for the sierra. and of course, that's

delta. a few scattered showers for the east bay shoreline, but there's not a lot to talk about .the south bay, a little more activity now. san jose getting light showers. campbell seeing it as well. as you head down 101, picking up light rain. for most of the morning, san jose has been kind of out of the mix. getting in on the action now. the peninsula relatively quiet. picking up a few showers in the san mateo bridge, but that's all. the bay bridge, a few light struggles. not much in the way of heavy rain like we had earlier this morning. with it we had some pretty strong winds. the winds have backed down a bit as well. to the north bay we go. not much activity for a good bit of the county. as we pulled the map out, tracking light showers. fairly widespread. and there is still more moisture offshore moving our direction. we keep with a scattered shower mix for most of the morning. as you can see here with the satellite view, it's turning into snow in the sierra. we talked about that with the winter storm warning. make sure you bring your chains. if you're trying to get in some l
