it has been a long week without water, week without gas, the good news is, the gas line just a littleeen fixed. you can see what is patch work still on the sidewalk here where they did the work, rerouting the line again finished it just a short time ago. you'd think with the gas restored, the heat is also back on tonight. but unfortunately, not for everyone. >> it's like a war zone out here. >> reporter: going into its second week now, but finally with an end in sight. this morningpgw crews drug a trench to reroute the gas line and by nightfall, it was being filled back up. the gas finally restored to the half dozen homes without it. including joe sir gee's. >> our system is water based. >> reporter: the gaping hole had to be filled in order to dignity trench for the gas line. with the line replaced. the water department will be back at it again on tuesday to redig a hole. the hope is for water to be restored late wednesday or thursday tneighbors who didn't lose water have been seeing regular outages. >> the day has been off most of the day, it's hard to do simple things like my wash,
