it's a bit difficult to see on the ground in the dark, but take a look at this video from skyforce 10. you can get a better idea of just how big this sinkhole actually is. some people would even estimate it that it could be at least 20 feet deep. the homeowners were inside when the ground opened up. they made it out okay. aqua water telling us a six-inch cast iron main broke. as a result, more than 60 customers were without water for much of the day. now, they did restore water services but as i mentioned there is a boil water advisory. people i've talked to said they've never seen anything like this before. >> i'm in construction also. i've seen this happen before, but not to this magnitude. >> i got a lot of water because i'm not trusting the water here. no way. >> reporter: that boil water advisory is in effect until this weekend. aqua is expecting to lift the advisory perhaps saturday. but they want customers to wait until official word from them before they begin using the water without boiling it. as for the ground itself, we know that cement crews were here pumping that hole fu

a live look now from skyforce 10 shows the skies of the sinkhole and the magnitude of it causing quite a mess in montgomery county this morning. good morning, i'm katy zachry. >> and i'm tracy davidson. the problem that led to the sinkhole is affecting dozens of homes. the sinkhole opened up near brooke road and argyle road. some roads in the area are closed. pamela osborne is live on the scene to bring us up-to-date. pam, tell us more. >> reporter: well, this is a very active residential street, although right now you can see most of the activity is for work crews that are here. right now we have been speaking to people who live here all morning long. we talked to one neighborhood who said he walked his dog down the street every day and never saw any signs, any sinkage in the sidewalk. the earth around it, that it would give in, and that something like this would happen. there are several different crews here addressing water, gas services and, of course, trying to determine what is stable and what's not. as that white pickup teeters on the brink. >> incredible. hopefully it doesn't s
