it is in morgan hill near highway 101. here is the problem. anderson lake can only take so much of this water from the reservoir so for the first time in a decade the overflow spillway will come in handy. >> we can get two, three, four thousand cubic feet per secretary of inflow into the reservoir so when that happens the inflow is greater than the outflow and that means that the water level rises. >> reporter: all right. so here is the other issue. anderson reservoir can only be at 68% capacity. and just a few seconds ago i mentioned that it is expected to spill over today and the reason why is because it is waiting to get upgraded to survive an earthquake. a few years ago experts discovered that this dam would fail if there was a 7.25 magnitude earthquake. and it would send water rushing into morgan hill and san jose. so right now again it is raining out here, it is windy at anderson reservoir. it's expected to spill over today. low-lying areas of coyote creek could flood. maria medina, kpix 5. >>> let's check in with sandra osborne in pacif
