jessica boyington. >>> thanks crystal. starting off this morning. on the schuylkill. now just a few moments ago, we did have a vehicle actually spun out on the eastbound side just around the boulevard. that's what we're looking at now. now zoomed it out. cleared out of the way. tricky spot. on and off-ramp and separate kevs and areas on the roads where areas aren't plowed heavily. see the plowing that's been done through the center lanes into it will shoulder snowy areas and few cars already spin out and get stuck. additionally dealing with speed restricti restrictions. 45-mile-per-hour for everything. route 130, 202. route 422. route 100 and 309 and 63. also watching the speed restriction down to 45-mile-per-hour. the schuylkill, 95. blue route. and the pa turnpike as well. now checking in withal new jersey roads. atlantic city expressway. down in atlantic city, crash on the eastbound side. watch for that and additionally dealing with 35-mile-per-hour speed restrictions for the ac expressway. moving to west step ford township. watch for disabled track torl trailer. t

jessica boyington keeping us roosevelt boulevard off-ramp right here. clearly you can see that's all blocked off. a lot of this traffic really getting to the point and usually split in half. half goes to boulevard. for now, all of the traffic has to go to the schuylkill westbound. we're seeing big delays. you see that right back in here. again, with this accident scene being fatal as well. it may be there for quite some time. going to really affect you heading down the westbound side. get around it. get off on one of the exit ramps beforehand. take kelly drive through the scene. especially if you have to get to boulevard up here. get to ridge avenue. take you to boulevard as well. if you're also stuck on the schuylkill or comfortable taking that direction and getting off on the westbound side. past that scene. get off around city line avenue exit. you can turn back around on the schuylkill eastbound to get through there. you want to get past the drive times. for now it's only approaching 5:45 or so. not seeing massive delays yet. all that traffic isn't

jessica boyington has first alert traffic. >> few things going on so far this morning. starting off on the schuylkill. off-ra off-ramp. just had a car pull away from the scene. looking like it's going to open back up in the next couple of minutes with the next police car in the place on the left-hand side of the off-ramp. traffic getting by as well. seeing improvements there. also watching the vine street expressway. open this morning, no construction to worry about this both directions. now we did a few moments ago have an accident scene on the eastbound side just around 24th street. coming off the schuylkill. that's all clear. nothing to worry about there for those delays either. >>> police investigating to murders. a man was shot to death. second murder handle 15 minutes earlier. no arrest in either case. >>> president trump gave first major speak to congress. began by condemning threats on jewish centers. working on what he calls historic tax reform. aimed at helping businesses and middle class. called for affordable child care. >> matt, much different tone from the

jessica boyington is up and at 'em. >> green every.>> always a good time to get up before the 5:00 hour hits because we don't have a lot of traffic out. construction projects are the ones to worry but we'll get to that in a section. girard avenue, no problems, southbound side looking great. moving from center city to the woodhaven vine and average speeds in the 60s. 95 looks good. over in delaware, construction 495, that southbound ramp is actually closed until the 5:00 mark as well. watch for construction crews in the area. that could be a dangerous situation. again that ramp will be closed. 168 to black horse pike, that is closed. and froot freeway northbound ramp to 295 is also closed. again that will clear in the 5:00 hour as well. maybe a little bit ahead or behind schedule. either way, within the next 15 or 20 minutes or so, you'll see that construction crew out there and removing all of the construction signs and blockages in the area. we'll keep an eye on that when i come back in ten minutes. >>> good reports on the roads there

jessica boyington checking the roads. watching 95 this morning. a wet drive here on the southbound side. the drive time, 13 minutes here. southbound from woodhaven to the wine street expressway. not seeing problems yet. it's still really early to see most of the volume in the area. southbound moving toward center city, so far a clean drive besides the fact that there are wet roads to deal with. also watching a crash in upper potts grove, farmington avenue at north state street. you might be tied up there a little bit. the schuylkill expressway looks great so far. you see both lanes, both directions eastbound and westbound in the green. 13 minutes at the most from the blue route to the vine street expressway. we'll end on the bridges. the thaconi palmeira bridge doesn't have traffic. there's an earlier crash that's cleared. we have construction underway. i'll have updates on the roads and check in with new jersey when i come back. >>> 4:39. the first round of showers and thunderstorms have moved throughardmore. you see -- through ardmore. you see i

first, jessica boyington is watching first alert traffic. >> thanks, bill. start this morning out in lehigh valley. this is 78. just around cameras at lehigh street. no problems reported now. look like a good drive. most of the majors still a little quiet. there is an accident. this is out in new hanover on big road around church road. 95 looks great. 14 minute drive time. southbound from woodhaven road moving towards the vine street expressway. average speeds into the low 50s there. starting to see a little bit of a difference. not bad considering the northbound drive time when we don't see a lot of traffic about 12 minutes. only seeing about a 2 minute difference there. no problems north or southbound. especially heading towards the new jersey transit train station. >>> bribery, extortion, and fraud. all part of indictment handed down against philadelphia's top prosecutor. philadelphia district attorney seth williams is expected to surrender today. >> he'll be arraigned on charges he used his position to pad his own wallet and live a lavish live style. all

jessica boyington is watching those. >> give you a bit of an example.t of cars on the roads this morning. pretty much have an accident or disabled vehicles on every single road this morning. going to head out the door, good chance you're going to get involved in something like that h. try your best to stay home. even if you don't see snow, we're catching slippery spots. camera is in and out here. further down south camera we have in the jersey shore. this is right in lower township. route 9 around route 109. you can definitely see the roads are really wet here. seeing oo ining a lot of pondin puddles in the roads. down to 35-mile-per-hour there from the entire stretch of atlantic city heading up to washington township in both directions. here's route 309 around the pa turnpike. much different scene here. around the fort washington area. again, little bit further west and further north as well. we are seeing more snow in these areas. definitely the roads here are less plowed than some of the other areas when you get closer towards the center city in phil

jessica boyington watching the cameras for us. jess, what are you seeing. >>> watching the schuylkill expressway. from the westbound side if you're approaching the roosevelt. that off-ramp is blocked. all the traffic being diverted this way. road flairs out here. no access to roosevelt boulevard at least from the schuylkill westbound. have to get you out and around that area. for right now gets beforehand. take kelly drive up. head bac r to boulevard here. this is the general area where the accident scene is. or you can go past the scene. get off around city line avenue. turn back around after a u-turn. head back on the schuylkill eastbound in that direction and then get back on the roosevelt that way. either way, that's going to take you a little bit of extra time when you head out door. route 38nmorristown. nixon drive. no problems or delays here. roads look good on the east and westbound side. >>> 12 minutes past five. montgomery county neighborhood firing back against a gun range.
