abc 7 news's wayne freedman is live in napa tonight with our story. wayne? >> reporter: an hour ago we were standing here saying we hoped to get in touch with the district attorney here in napa about half an hour ago, she did come out. she did talk to us. based on the evidence so far it appears that the shooting was justified, but the case is quite bizarre. along linda vista avenue in napa, bullet holes in three different homes number in the double digits. aftermath and the neighborhood disturbance, a car chase then a shootout with police that ended in the death of a local resident. his name is steve ferris. >> it is so scary. >> reporter: the napa county district attorney's office says it began with a dispute between neighbors. >> the dispute then turned physical. the dispute then turned into mr. ferry, 66-year-old mr. ferry taking a gun and shooting at his neighbors who were required to get on their bellies and crawl back to their homes. >> reporter: napa police established a perimeter around ferry's house. then they say he tried to escape in a silver hond

. >> reporter: in the wayne section of radnor tonight, wayne section of radnor sharrie, good afternoon to you brian. radnor police tonight asking for the public's help to find out who robbed this bank, the bank of america right behind me late last week. he struck here at midday late last week on friday to be exact. they have lots of video. radnor police want you to identify this man right away and perhaps tell them where they can find him. they say he's the bank robber who held up this bank of america branch on lancaster avenue in wayne on april 7th around 12:30 p.m. bank employees say he walked in presented a note to the teller took cash and fled. here is the police department's precise description. >> the actor was that described as a white male 5-foot 10 to 6 feet tall in his late 20's to early 30's, had a medium build was wearing light blue shorts a gray zip up style fleece, a blue hat flat brim hat with some type of circular logo on in it white and he was also wearing sneak terse. >> reporter: a passerby took this iphone picture of the getaway car clear as a bell. the license tag
