i'm kira klapper. our microclimate forecast. >> you're right, we're expecting breezier conditions and windier at the coastlines if you're heading to the beach. it will be on the cooler side of things in the 50s and 60s for beachy areas. at the peninsula, we are starting to see hazy skies along with a combination of some clouds. but we are expecting for that to kind of break apart a little bit quicker than when it was yesterday. yesterday we had some cloudy conditions, and it took some time for that sunshine to peak. but the temps will climb to the 70s for the south bay. 73 in san jose, 73 for livermore and areas near concord. napa 75 heading up there to wine country. and we are also tracking some high pressure that is expected to build in. what that's going to do is bring back in warmer temperatures, but right now memorial weekend looks like a pretty good one for outdoors. >> good. the unofficial start of summer, as people say. so it will be good weather for that. >>> firefighters are still on the scen

i'm kira klapper. vianey arana has a look at our micro climate forecast. >> i don't know if you noticed but yesterday was chilly and windy. >> it's back. >> we are expected to keep the breezy conditions at least through the weekend along with unseasonably cooler temperatures. peninsula at 49 degrees. not too much cloud cover. a combination of clouds in there and tri-valley at about 47. yes, we're expected to keep those breezier conditions, but today won't be as gusty as what we saw yesterday. we can expect to see a few clouds here and there, but overall we are expecting to see an unsettled weather pattern that could bring the chance of showers but it looks to the further most northern counties but that won't be until tomorrow. today we can expect to see drier weather. wind speeds in san francisco at 14 miles per hour. half moon bay 18 miles per hour and down in the south bay 14, 15 miles per hour. so overall we can expect to see the winds pick up just a bit to possibly about 20 miles per hour, but it's

i'm kira klapper. vianey arana has a look at the micro climb forecast.ou're being kind to us mothers for the mother's day forecast. >> if you plan on wearing a dress, make it not a flowy one, because it will be on the breezy to windy side. if you have brunch planned for tomorrow morning, keep that in mind. we are expecting to keep 60s in the forecast overall. we'll climb into the upper 60s. but the weekend is looking good. the 89 not in that forecast but the next sen days expect to keep showers in the forecast for areas in the east, that just means the santa cruz mountains. keeping in mind that the northwesterly winds will be picking up by later this evening at about 7:00 just in time as you head out to dinner expect to see wind gusts possibly between 25 and 30 miles per hour. so definitely keep that in mind as we head into the later part of the evening but at least we'll have a nice sunny day ahead. i'll have a closer lock at exactly what you can expect heading into your mother's day forecast coming up at about 7:45. >> we'll stay tuned for that. we wan

i'm kira klapper. vianey arana has a look at the micro forecast. it is windy out there. >> it is. a little chilly. so with the wind chill combined and it's definitely feeling on the cooler side. please remember to take a sweater as you head outside. >> i'm wearing my long sleeves. >> yeah, see, you heard. >> but it's been hot. >> but today we're not getting 80s at all. we'll stale in the 60s and the 70s. walnut creek, you can actually see a nice combination of clouds there, 49 degrees. so definitely right now all across the bay area san francisco 50 degrees, 49 in livermore, san jose 51. and we do remain under that high winded a ri ed advisory. as we take a look at the temperature trend in san francisco expecting to climb into those 60s. but it will stay at 62, 63. remember the strongest of the winds are expected to gust anywhere between 30 and possibly 40 miles per hour especially along the coastline and the san francisco bay area. if you're going to be outside, definitely make sure to keep that in mind and make sure to pack allergy medicine. you don't want to be stuck out there
