joining me now is gina martin adams, chief equity strategist. it sounds like it is a major change to lock the emerging market index but what are they really? >> it means a little less than 1% of the index goes on to china. china is already the biggest part of the emerging markets index. a little more than 1% gain starting next year. in chinese shares, i think it needs more information for the long-term investment prospects in china. it gives investors a bigger foray into the mainland domestic mostt where it is formally of china or all of china were securities on the hong kong exchange or traded in the u.s. now it is a little bit more exposure to the chinese economy directly. it is 1% on the msci and it doesn't even happen until next may. vonnie: more to get to come is a let's get through them. why only .7%? what was china hoping for? gina: i don't know what they were hoping for. these are small companies. being added to the emerging markets but they are really small, domestic companies so if it happens to be a tiny boost, somebody is already on
