i'm kate larsen in for eric thomas. san francisco police confirm tonight that human body parts were located in a hayward warehouse, and that warehouse is associated with a person of interest in the disappearance of piseth chhay. abc7 news reporter cornell barnard is live at san francisco police headquarters with the new developments. >> reporter: kate, it could take several days to identify those remains. the family is helping with dna samples. for them, so much anguish about a missing husband and father and a good friend they thought they knew. >> and he said they found a body part today. >> reporter: rattana kim talks about a call from san francisco police. a grim development in the case of her missing husband. 48-year-old piseth chhay, a full-time uber driver. on saturday, workers at this hayward warehouse found human remains inside. >> the san francisco medical examiner office responded and took several bags which contained human remains. the identity of the deceased is unknown at this time. >> reporter: the warehou

i'm kate larsen. game 2 of the nba finals is hours away.ock on the corner of your screen, we are 8:33 away from the start of espn's coverage of game 2 of the nba finals. the warriors hope to go up 2-0 over the cavaliers tonight at oracle arena before the series shifts to cleveland. the cavs say that they want to ramp up their physicality going forward in the series. we're still, of course, waiting to hear if head coach steve kerr will return to the sidelines today. general manager bob myers says a game 2 return for kerr is, quote, on the table. he's not coached the warriors since game 2 of the first round series against portland because of complications from a back surgery in 2015. the acting head coach, mike brown, has led the team to 11 consecutive wins this post-season. if you're not going to oracle tonight, you can only watch the game right here on abc 7, espn and abc's coverage of the nba finals starts at 4:30. right before the game join larry beil and mike shumann for the dubs on 7 preview presented by jeep. they'll be there live at 4

kate larsen caught up with the ferry captain who helped save these sailors' lives. >> the curnt had the boat spinning around underwater. it was kind of a bad situation. >> reporter: captain jim lily describing the rough conditions on the bay yesterday when he and his ferry crew spotted this capsized boat and three men in the water. >> we saw about a half mile away a couple guys waving. and they looked like they were in trouble, of course. >> reporter: at 2:30 yesterday afternoon, lily notified the coast guard and told his ferry passengers they were going on a detour to help. >> we yelled over to them, and asked if they were okay. and they kind of gave us, a little bit. we're kind of okay. that right away is when we said, okay, we need to get the man overboard gear ready. >> reporter: ferry crews actually rescue about ten people from the bay a year and assist the coast guard with dozens more rescues, which is why they train regularly on man overboard procedures. >> we keep our overboard ladder, life vests with ropes, life rings. >> reporter: overhead as they threw the life vest on a rope
