it's the building that's sort of a center piece of the downtown lafayette area, not only did it how's the livermore -- the lafayette chamber of commerce but also the la fa northwest tra restaurant, a hair salon, i cpa and other businesses. so sadly you can see this building is gone. within the past few moments the fire department stopped dumping water on the area because they've been going that all morning long to keep northwest hot spots from flaring back up. and the video this is what it looked like several hours ago. had is what greeted firefighters as they arrived around midnight last night to put out this fire. the building was fully engulfed. the fire marshal tells us they had to go on the defensive. they could not make any interior attacks they had to stay from the outside and fight the fire from that point of view and unfortunate lit building did burn down. it took about 80 minutes to be get it out. they had to call for three alarms so they had to call for backup a few times, that's how much help they needed in trying to get this fire out and keep it contained. there was conce
