dylan dreyer is here, as well, on this 1st day of july. it is shaping up to be a very busy saturday. >> indeed. we'll get right to our top story this morning, that mass shooting inside a nightclub in little rock, arkansas. this is some video that was posted to facebook. it reportedly captures the terrifying moments when the shots rang out. [ gunfire ] [ screams ] details are still coming in, but police are telling us 17 people were hurt by gunfire after some dispute inside the power lounge nightclub in little rock. one person is in critical condition. more people got hurt. some of them trampled in the chaos of trying to escape. there was a stampede. the youngest victim, we're told, just 16 years old. police say at this point they do not believe it was an act of awful reminder of the orlando pulse nightclub shooting where 49 people were killed just over a year ago. we'll have more on what went down in little rock throughout the morning. >>> meantime, investigators are combing the scene of that deadly shooting at the hospital here in new yor

here's nbc meteorologist dylan dreyer. >> good evening, peter. everyone excited for the fireworks and most of the country is going to see pretty nice weather tomorrow evening. the western half of the country, nothing to worry about. right through the middle we could see scattered showers and isolated storms from minneapolis down into dallas and the southeast spotty showers and storms as well. if you are traveling to get to any of these destinations, we will see most of our trouble areas from minneapolis right down into northern texas where we do have some pockets of heavier rain within some of the heavier thunderstorms. also back through kentucky and into tennessee we can see areas of heavy rain as well. then on wednesday still looking at that area across the midwest right down into texas and also the mid-atlantic region where we could see some of our strongest storms, as much as 2 to 4 inches of rain possible as we get stuck in the heavier downpours. the western half of the country looking good for wednesday, sunny and hot temperatures starting
