soon after the atlantic county prosecutor's office major crimes unit was called in, by the atlantic citynd that's protocol. so you see the police here in our video. the call made by the staff after the couple did not check out of the room as scheduled, as late as noon or 2:00, and so they went and check in on them. and they find one dead, one with burns to the neck and the hair. and the question is: what happened? well, we don't know what happened. the prosecutor's office detective know they weren't saying last night, here is the atlantic county prosecutor, telling us, what he wanted to tell us, which was very little. okay, well, we don't have him. what he did say to us was they investigate not just crimes, but also drug-related deaths, and overdoses. so he was basically hinting to us by also saying that this was not a random crime, and that there was no danger to anyone else either on that floor or in the hotel, that this was either domestic attempted murder suicide or couple that was doing drugs, one died, and one got hurt doing the drugs? or this was something else just all contained

the crime investigations unit is still here. this happened at 9:30, and they are still here some six hours or so after this all happened here in downtown san jose. still a lot of unanswered questions. police need to know what led up to this incident here in japan town. police say the victims were attending a weekly music festival. not the restaurant but the brewery. and for some unknown reason investigators say they were shot across the street from the brewery. police detained one person after a short pursuit. they are canvassing the area at this hour to make sure there are no more suspects that may have been involved in this incident. sources tell me the firefighters were young, fresh out of the academy. this morning still few answers as to what led to the shooting. >> the details are still pretty sketchy. we don't know what led up to this altercation if there was an altercation. it appears to be a random act. we don't have a lot of details at this point. we have a lot of neighbors calling in about somebody running through the
