commander dean haydon said criticism was based on 'ignorance'.all sections of the community should be really focused on keeping us all safe and i think it had good intentions when it started but u nfortu nately intentions when it started but unfortunately it did not have the confidence of the community and initially it was focused exclusively on muslims. it is now been extended to the far right extremists as well. so its history was not in conjunction with the community. it was imposed on the community. and the concerns that people had is that there is a lack of transparency. i do not think it is particularly helpful to talk about critics being ignorant. you have the former chair of the conservative party, you have david anderson, the former independent reviewer of terrorist legislation, give andy burnham, the former shadow home office minister and people like andy burnham and the baroness have talked about prevent becoming a toxic brand. and is it linked to, what you say was the fact that it started out specifically focusing on muslim community?
