sid garcia of our sister station has the story. >> reporter: a lot of rain in a very short amount ofe has left acten in a muddy mess. residents spent much of the day removing much of the debris that came along with this fast-moving river. people say the hail, rain and strong winds lasted 15 to 20 minutes. but when it was over, they knew that would spend hours cleaning up a big mess. dr. reed logan has been in this building for more than 25 years. he says he's never seen a flood quite this bad. >> i've never seen water ever come up that high before. so i was hopeful and fairly confident that we wouldn't get, you know, we wouldn't get flooded here. >> reporter: hillary mulligan cleared out the soggy carpet and padding. she says she was home when the rain just pelted her home and flooded it. >> it wouldn't stop. i was like come on, then it flooded my kitchen and my whole house, i just -- what are you going to do? >> reporter: the heavy rain and flooding caught many off guard. some got stuck in their cars and trucks and a few, like this man, needed to be rescued. his employer said he's d
