james guy, back where it all began.d metro in greater manchester was his first club and his academy launch simply had to happen here. i was created here and this is where it all started for me. so first swimming lessons and without them today, i don't know where i'd be. going to get ten kids from the age of 1a to 17 and they will become part of the jj academy, which is quite cool, really. and these are the guys that are going and push you when we are tired and done. so hopefully when they are doing that i can say, they were part of my team. as well as mentoring, guy will also fund academy athletes. and there will certainly be no shortage of interest. ijust had spine surgery six days ago and ijust thought to myself, i'm going to push through, i'm not missing this. i've been waiting for him to come down to the club for so long. all these kids that he's teaching, he is an inspiration to them all. he's probably the best swimmer i've ever seen. it was really fun taking pictures with him. whilst james guy clearly hopes his ac
