so, with 50 million latinos in the state, for the latino community foundation, it is imperative for us to know that the future of our democracy, the future of our economy really depends on the latino community, right? we are the largest ethnic group in the state, and so it is really important to invest in our community now. by 2050, we'll be 80% of the population entering the workforce, right? so for the latino community foundation, is has always been extremely important to invest in latino-led organizations, not only latino-serving, right? because we know what our community needs to survive, right? we know what our community needs to thrive. so by investing in latino-led organizations, we are creating a sustainable approach to our community's future. >> and, janeth, you're actually very involved with lcf. why are you one of the people that helps support their mission? >> well, you know, i've always been a giver. it's instilled in the latino community to give. but i've always given with my time. i haven't ever been able to give with my dollars because, you know, i can't give hundreds o

. >> yeah, so, i've been very fortunate to be part of latino community foundation giving circles group, and that's a group that the latino community foundation founded about a year ago. and the hope there is to take hispanics from being just recipients of philanthropic dollars but also make them into givers of philanthropic dollars. hispanics currently only benefit from less than 2% of philanthropic dollars, even though we make up over 20% of the population of the united states. and lcf is really looking to change that paradigm and doing so by enabling us regular hispanics to pull together our resources, pull together our money, learn more about the issues that are affecting our local communities, and empowering us to give back to those local communities through these giving circles. >> and, dr. bauer, you have examples like hector and deldelp -- latinos in the tech sector or dealing with tech in some capacity. is that enough, though, or do we need mentors? how do you see it from your perspective in the schools? >> we need everybody involved. and i was gonna use the term "come back to
