i'm david gura. as the government shutdown continues, there was a meeting of 20 senate moderates taking place on capitol hill. my colleague is also on capitol hill for us this afternoon. what's the latest? what's taking place at that meeting? >> we going to be know this is second day in a row this group has met. they're trying to negotiate what we think are three options. they're going to take one of those three options or maybe all those options and present them to their leadership. we don't know the exact terms of what they're discussing yet, but they're hoping that this is a path to get out of this mess. we do know that the two leaders, mitch mcconnell and chuck schumer did not talk once to each other. we do know this group of bipartisan members were meeting. we ao know two republicans, lindsey graham a jeff flake, they were doing sort of shuttle diplomacy. they were going from mcconnell's office to schumer's office and back to mcconnell's office trying to get some sort of agreement and path out o
