what will, for example, george papadopoulos and mike flynn and the other witnesses have to say if we're allow to do bring them in? that will tell us how strong is the evidence. in the absence of that, it's very hard to be able to say this is what i predict the evidence will be at the end of the investigation. >> just to kind of just drill down on that a bit, essentially you're saying you've seen possible indications of collusion, how real it is, you're not willing to say at this point? >> i think we have seen evidence of collusion. the question is ultimately for bob mueller, is there proof beyond a reasonable doubt, such that he would feel comfortable seeking an indictment or seeking to go before a jury and make the case. for us in congress it's not a question of beyond a reasonable doubt? it's what conclusions can we draw from it, whether or not it amounts to proof beyond a reasonable doubt. >> is there enough evidence so far in the public record? you talk about this not on a legal basis, but a political basis, for congress, for impeachment? >> i'm reserving judgment on what we'll ulti

the mike flynn plea deal, the george papadopoulos plea deal, the charges against manafort, and gates. those things, you would not want those things to be in your white house, democrat, republican, whatever. they do not add up to the fact that, yes, there was willful collusion bit president or his senior aides in this. i think the fact that the story keeps getting fuller in a way that in this -- i think this is another big piece of that, that fire comey in may, ordering the firing of mueller but not go through with it the next month, that makes you wonder, it is more smoke. but jason is not wrong when he says there isn't fire. there isn't yet. >> i want to give you the final word here. >> for any investigation that is ongoing, no one has been given a clean bill of health here. we won't know until mueller is done with his investigation. this talking point that nobody has been found guilty of collusion, the process is still ongoing. the context here is hugely important. it is the whole point. if you covered up, if you obstructed justice of the investigation into whether a foreign power i

they've also indicted george papadopoulos and mike flynn on matters that are not -- or in flynn's case, only distantly related. but in papadopoulos' case, not at all related. the reason we're all focused on the obstruction component right now is that the investigative elements of that matter seem to be cottaming to a head. normally you would do an investigation like this in the follow stages. first, you gather all the documents, and then you interview all the people involved from the bottom up. and over the last few weeks, we've seen interviews with people who are at the very top of this hierarchy of events, and that does indicate that the matter is sort of coming to fruition or to a head or is going to peter out. but that we're working toward the end of this investigative steps. >> ben, one more question. this is regarding the new nbc news exclusive reporting about michael flynn being interviewed by the fbi and not telling white house about it. carol lee learned peter strzok did the interview with michael flynn. if the name is familiar, that's because he's been in the news quite a bit

george: it is a much bigger win for bombardier than a loss for boeing. as mikeut, boeing has a very, very large backlog for narrowbody aircraft. some 5000 in backlog. you can argue that the low end of the airplane program, the 737, 700, max seven, the smallest version did not compete well with the c-series because it is not very efficient. the truth is a lot of people do not care to buy airplanes between 100 and 130 seats. there is not a lot of demand down there, but owing is not very competitive at -- boeing is not very competitive at all and neither is airbus in this space. scarlet: so this adds a new wrinkle to the nafta discussions and negotiations in montreal. does the u.s. reprioritize the issues at hand to put this back on the agenda? michael: it is too early to say how this will affect the negotiations. it is an exterior to them in that aircraft is generally a thel part of trade between two countries. but what is interesting is the appeal. you asked about boeing can appeal to the u.s. international trade court and can also appeal under chapter 19 of the
