ms. boomer to forward to the board members. >> thank you very much. next speaker, please. >> nancy warfel followed by lynn lohama. >> good afternoon. i'm nancy warfel. it has come to my attention that there was a violation of the brown act regarding regular item 11 on the december 5 board meeting agenda. section 54954.2a states that, quote, no action or discussion shall be undertaken on any item not apeinger on the posted agenda, unquote. the language of agenda item is 1 did not have any meaningful description that included the discussing the 17th avenue stop. therefore, a violation exists because the minutes show that the board did discuss and take action on the future of this very popular stop without noticing the matter. this means that interested members of the public who might have attended this meeting were not properly apprised of the board's deliberation on the safeway stop. the good news is that the brown act does permit a member of the legislative body or the body itself to direct staff to place a matter of business on the future agenda. so

ms. boomer has called your name. >> go ahead, ma'am. >> hi, i'm barbara hughes. and i live on 30th avenue and i've lived in the sunset my entire life. went to all the local schools, i took the l. and the n. and the 7 and everything else and got there. in fact, mentioning the 66 line, i tried to go to that meeting, i got there and nobody was there. anyway, getting back to this issue. 44th, 35th and 17th, in my opinion should never be removed. every island should be put on every stop on that line. i am a senior. i'm a lot older than you may think i am. that stop, removing the stop in both directions at 17th avenue is a terrible idea. people need to have safety there. in fact, i know somebody i used to work with whose mother was killed on that intersection, getting off the streetcar. so i know it happens. the two intersections of sunset boulevard and 19th avenue are dangerous. to walk across any street on 19th avenue or sunset is a hazard because i have experienced it myself. basically, that's all i want to say. oh, the lighting. you have got to do something about t
