we find our reporter, wayne friedman, live with details on what happened here. >> reporter: good morning. if you were on a railroad, this happens eventually, after six months of service, it happened to the smart railroad. the scene behind me at roughly 7:40 this morning. this is video from sky 7. smart says the southbound train would have been moving at 79 miles per hour. full speed when the accident occurred. the force of the impact pushed the victim 50 yards down the track. we also have some interviews here with smart police chief jennifer welsh, saying the railroad has video of the accident from the train. >> well, certainly, point of impact, hopefully will be captured on the video, but a lot goes into that prior to what happened, what this person was going, how they were acting, were they on the sidewalk or middle of the intersection. there's a lot of factors to look at to figure out exactly how this happen. >> reporter: they are figuring it out for quite a while. they have not said what happened. they have not said whether it was a suicide or an accident. they are just not saying. s

in napa, wayne friedman, abc7 news. >>> a suspect is hospitalized after a wild confrontation in hayward when a suspect hit them with a vehicle. it happened at larch mont and broad more avenue. that officer had been tailing the suspects. one suspect got out and ran and the officer got out and ran after her. after a short chase, police caught the driver. t >>> alameda county deputy is under arrest after an inmate was beat up on his watch. alyssa harrington tells us the deputy may have been trying to get revenge on that inmate. >> joseph bailey was arrested monday morning after a three-months long investigation. he's accused of knowingly and willingly -- bailey and an inmate allegedly had some sort of argument. then just a few hours later, that person was attacked by a group of other inmates. >> we believe that there was some type of interaction that took place between him and the inmate that was attacked. and that maybe as retaliation for retribution, he sanctioned this assault to occur. >> reporter: this happened in the dormitory area of the jail's minimum security area in dublin. office

wayne friedman explains that more charges may follow. >> what you are about to hear is a line he never imagined saying. if the face looks familiar, he played a part in the drama 13 reasons why, much of it sho the in marin county. his alleged other activities let to his arrest by police. >> we have been looking at this case for several months. >> in court, he is 23 years old and live s is in vallejo. according to tiberon police the mo is the same. box worked for all of the victims as a caretaker. he would return, visit with them, and later come back and burglarize them. living at home told ab, c 7 while box passed background checks they fired him for being unreliable and not trustworthy. police say their investigation led elsewhere. >> there are at least four other cases in marin that i am aware of and several in the east bay. >> they have at least one witness to a break in and surveillance cameras recorded him on the days of those crimes. from a search warrant they noticed he visited this oakland pawn shop regularly. >> we found out he was there over three dozen times in a short period
