it happened in lakewood... which is near long beach...olice say the victim jesus nunez was walking back from a late night donut shop with his girlfriend when the robbery happened early this morning. a male suspect first got out of the car and said something to the victim. two female suspects then started harassing the victim's girlfriend. nunez was defending his girlfriend when he got stabbed.neighbor: "my sister said she heard a scream. i just heard my dog barking. i've lived here for 15 years now and i've always felt very safe." the suspects drove off in a dark-colored sedan. nunez was stabbed at least once in his torso and died later at the hospital. his girlfriend only suffered minor injuries.
