derek and his wife, micah alison, in court here. a spokesperson thought the judge was fair in the morning's decision. attorneys made lengthy arguments to drop the charges including the fact that the cause of the ghost ship fire was never found how could it be blamed on derek and max harris. that ghost ship warehouse went up in flames in oakland a year and a half ago during a concert. 36 people were killed. he and harris face 36 charges of involuntary manslaughter. they told the gallery he's not here to decide whether they are guilty, just probable cause. if there's enough to go to trial, he said there is, trial is set for july. next up today, though, is whether they should be released on bail, whether they should be allowed out of jail. the attorneys are arguing that it is harsh keeping them in jail, that they are not a threat to society. they also believe they can better prepare for their upcoming trial if they are out of jail than if they are inside, so stay with abc 7 news. we expect more developments on this story today, and we'

christopher's clubhouse was started in 1996 after micah moulton's son christopher was kidnapped and murdered at 10 years old. the family made the brave and selfless choice to turn their grief into something positive. they realized that while they had done everything right, like telling christopher not to talk to strangers, that no one had told him there was more they could have done. they realized they had not taught him what to do if someone grabbed christopher. they didn't want any parent to face that same realization and that same grief, so they started christopher's clubhouse to provide safety skills and personal defense techniques for children, teens, and the elderly throughout the coachella valley over the years, christopher's clubhouse has served more than 100,000 people through their programs in schools, community events, and churches. . there is no doubt they have made a difference and saved lives. preventing other parents from going through their pain. and i thank them and i applaud them for their years of service. while the christopher clubhouse may be closing, the legacy of their

and i come from a family of a lot of ministers and in my micah it says we're here to pursue justice, embrace mercy and walk humbly. and two of those i got right. so in the navy, you are taught that the first principle of leadership is setting the example. and what you do for example, obviously you have a well-earned outstanding reputation. which is the case with you know fannie mae and every day you have to be challenged. the great psychoanalyst eric erickson said without a challenge, you regress. and so you challenge yourself every day. and life is a lot different if you wake up in the morning and you say -- what is my challenge today, and the challenge may be to hire two or three people or to make sure that the system is not clogged up. so applications get through. and to make the world a better place. so you feel like i think king wrote his dissertation on tillock. he said the great anxieties in life are death, hope and meaningfulness. what challenges do you want to take on? if people did one-tenth of what you're doing, the world would be a better place. >> well i'm going to stop
