i grabbed a toothbrush. i didn't pack. i got on a plane and i left., when i woke up in boston the next day i thought to myself oh my god what i have done? >> there's an internet story out there that i dove into an empty pool and i traced the source of it to ar arthur schlessinger he wrote that in his diaries. never spoke to me. doesn't know anything about me. if that's a reflection of the accuracy of the histories he wrote, then he is a master of fiction. i see it likes a if it happened in a film. it was the end of my first year medical school. we are doing neurology. we are studying the spinal cord of all things. my classmate and i decide to skip the morning session. beautiful july day. we're going to -- we play tennis instead. we're now headed over to class for the second session. we're very sweaty. it's very hot, very beautiful day. so we drop in next door to the medical school to the children's inn. you know, those are the hotels nearby for the parents of children. when my friend and i arrived at the pool, there were lots of people in it. swimming

i was so glad i didn't do it. i should post it. it was so bad, 10 pages long and each chapter you have to make a chapter outline. and the final proposal for this book, wrote three chapters, 5 to 10 paragraphs and did more work for this and was not ready. i knew i wanted to do something but wasn't sure. people, resonated with people. that is really good. i pooled the story on snapchat, that story took on another life, when the nightly show got canceled, no excuse, had to write this, accidental activist, the name of the book, when i pitched it, would you be interested in changing the title, no. my interest is piqued. and someone blows smoke and tells you you are amazing. my best advice, when somebody gives you a good critique, this is somebody i can trust. i see it everywhere, one person -- it was in my book proposal and one of the things, it is low key and someone said our whole office has been saying low-key for weeks because of you. we think the book should be called that. a terrible title for a book. is it bad enough to say stuff
