[applause] >> wonderful. when we have formal debates of the constitution center, we vote before and after. because this is a case that will be decided by the court, i'd like to have a vote. i will state the constitutional question and i want you to vote not for the side you want to win politically but for the side you think should win constitutionally. in other words separate your political views from your constitutional views. you may think that's unfair for the gay couple in this case not to get the cake, but that the constitution protects the bakers right to refuse to sell it or could you think it's fine for him to refuse to sell the cake as a policy matter but the law requires it. the question i'm asking you to constitution protect the bakers right to refuse to sell a cake to a gay couple? in particular, to the religious freedom and free pressi provisions of the first amendment protects the bakers right. we will vote now and then you'll hear the debate. i want youo listen with an
