susan del percio is a political strategist and an msnbc political analyst. jake jake, first to you.re's a lot of talk on capitol hill right now from both parties. what's being done? >> nothing's being done at the moment because no one's in the capital quite yet, but a lot of things are going to happen over the next 24 hours that are very important to pay attention to. at 5:30 tonight, which is just a couple of hours away, the president is coming to the capitol to meet with house republicans about their immigration plans. their voting on two different plans, neither of which will become law, but two different plans on the house floor this week. trump is going to try to lobby republicans to vote for those plans. he recently said this afternoon that he was looking to change those bills, which is a real head scratcher, because again, his administration was involved in negotiating these two pieces of legislation. but he's going to come and talk about those. the big question is, does the trump administration, as has been reported, see separating kids from their families as a negotiating t
