david: here now to react, arizona congressman andy biggs, member of house judiciary committee and houseom caucus. congressman, i'm willing to bet awe dinner, week of dinners, a lot of democrats who will not accept that. oh, come on, you want us -- what do you think will be the reaction from inside the beltway about what the president said? >> i'm not going to take your bet because i think you're right. i think a lot of people will say that is just an after thought but reality is, he has been fairly consistent in two points on this, number one, russia did interfere with the election and i think what happens is, it gets conflated a lot of time, i think he is always hitting at there was no, he always says collusion. there is no such thing in collusion in my mind, it is conspiracy. there was no conspiracy between his campaign and russian interference. >> right. >> i think sometimes that gets conflated. david: also you have to think about timing. again, i don't want to make any excuses for the president. he is responsible for what he said but at same point, even though as rod rosenstein came

let's bring in republican congressman andy biggs of the house judiciary committee. >> the stake is ageneration or two of u.s. supreme court rulings. but moreover, the stakes include how you get there. you remember when robert bork was vilified and highly qualified judge set the standing how the demonic the opposition can be. the democrats, they would have opposed anybody. they want to expand it. i think it's overreaching on their part. i don't think it's relevant to this highly qualified judicial nominee. >> the example you give now is a verb. don't get borked. is the goal to find a perfect candidate a nominee perfection? >> well, there was only one perfect individual in the history of the world, you you're not going to find him or her for the united states supreme court. what this is turned into is political theater. that's what this is all about. the democrats have really tried to raise the stakes. here you got a guy that they voted for that has 300 written judicial opinions they can comb through. he's been on the bench for 12 years. it's no longer about even the perfect candidate.

. >> sandra: let's bring in congressman andy biggs. thanks for your time this morning.ng here? in your view, is there censorship of conservatives when it comes to social media companies? >> i think there is and ample evidence. western journal was growing and the algorithms changed and the flow of visitor traffic is put to nothing. i think of marsha blackburn who has had to have her website taken down because the purveyors of social media said she had -- we have hate speech against conservatives out there and that is allowed to stay up until we take extraordinary measures and make contact after contact in the case that matt gates pointed out. we see this happening and these purveyors acknowledge they have algorithm challenges and they sometimes aren't acting quick enough. >> sandra: one example of that. bob goodlatte brought this up in the beginning of the hearing noting how facebook recently as we all learned censored quotes of the declaration of independence. one of the social media companies flagged them as hate speech. obviously identifying there is a problem here. h

joining me now the lawmaker you just saw in that clip with peter strzok, arizona congressman andy biggsny differently than thursday? the way you handled yourself and what happened in that hearing. >> well, i think my question is no, i don't think i would change my line of questioning and i think what i would have done differently is at the start of the day i would have set the parameters a little tighter. because mr. strzok was not choosing to answer questions. he wanted to be able to control the whole hearing which ultimately in many respects we let him do that. that's a problem for me. but i was trying to lay out and he knows this that the inspector general gave us the act of indirect impact on the part of strzok and i was also trying to get at the middle state and i think we did that. that's why he was so agitated. elizabeth: well, that being said, agitated is one way to put it. he also was very prepared, at times he seemed undeterred and steadfast, almost as if he was sort of mentally trained for what went down. the fact of the matter was is that he probably was, he had plenty of ti

andy biggs joins us now., lisa page that we've heard a lot about and seen the anti-trump text messages. why are you bringing her into this closed-door interview? >> we need to find out the context of what she was saying. when did she mean when she talked about an insurance policy with andy mccabe. what was going on with andy mccabe? tell us about strzok. he led the hrc investigation and russia collusion investigation. what was her role with that and how much did this actually infect all of these investigations and the outcome? that's one of the things we'll focus on, the fisa warrants again. >> sandra: inspector general report not answer those questions for you? >> not fully. and so we need to hear from her and get some expansion on that. i think the inspector general was talking about -- it didn't directly affect decision making but it indirectly affected it. we need to nail that down more as well. the timeline right there they were trying to speed up right at the end before the election so they could get so
