animal welfare association organization teaming up with scieists, also wildlife scientists counting the number of cats. it's the d.c. cat count. lauren is here from the humane rescue aiance. she's going to explain what this really means. good morning and thank you for being here. we're counting cats across the d.c. area. we're counting indoor cats and outdoor cats. how in the world are y going to count all these cats? >> fortunately, weave scientists guiding the research component of it and responsible for im ementing. we'll be putting cameras around the droikt take photos of cats and wildlife. we'll be asking pet owners to submit photos of their cats. we'll be surveying pet owners to get more information about the habis of the own c in the city and the photos. we'll be tracking shelter data and the end of this, we'lle creating an integrated model that will hopefullyhow the flow of cats from the indoor owned to the outdoor to the shelter so we can appropriately understand where the cats are coming from.ey where e being born. are we getting all of the cats that might benef from our servi
