>> i called for help. >> yes. >> and yeah. >> max, here's t thing, as i understand it, you're super active. you're a runner, a paddle boa boarder. yep. >> did know you were sick at all until you collapsed? >> not until i dropped. i mean, basically, there is heart disease in the family. my dad's dad died of a heart attack at 48. my dad's sisterrtied of a h attack at 48. my dad had extent stints at 69, but i'm active. ran 4.9 miles the night before, so last thing i would have thought is i'm having a heartttk. >> and it was a serious attack. >> she's not the, i'm dead. >> i was going to say, did you feel like she saved your life? >> yes. >> if she had been an attorney, you'd be dead. >> this is your first date, so kyou really didn'w each other all that well. so, wha happens next? are you like, it's not the usual is he going to call situation. did you go over to the hospital? >> so, when they took him away in the ambulance, i hadf a lot thoughts running through my head, the first of which was what kind of luck is this? like, this is terrie! youknow, i can't believe that, i dot know what just happened, but i think he just died on me, you know? so, yeah, ioidn't go the hospital right away for multiple reasons. the paramedics told me to assta. that one of the biggest ones. and then also, you needed to, you know, kind of tie things up, mald sure somebody c watch my kids so that i could go to the hospital later and just try to wrap >> yeah. >> so, max, we saw the first kiss. how was the second kiss? was it a little bit better than that? >> oh, much better, yeah. >> well, for one thing, you i remember. exactly. exactly. >> but you did end up together, which is amazing. >> yeah, no, w actually --n she came and visited me in the hospital, i said you know, who wants to be with a guy that just heart hills. and she said, no, i'm here. this is where i want to be. >> and you've turned this whole thing into quite the cause. what do you have there? >> yeah, yeah so, these cards, our foundation, paddle for good. we, among things in terms of helping people understand what they n sd to do ifomeone has a heart attack, we have a program called help a heart cpr. pd we just want to get as many people's hands asible on aed devices and cpr dummies, you know compressions to the beat "stayin alive." there's a freepp smartphone called pulse a point aed. you could open it up right now, press the button t it woue you where the closest aed is, and that shocks the heart back into life. >> you're living proof of important it is -- >> it's literally that simple. >> did you know cpr before all this ihappened?
