i'd like to say upfront that i'm not a fan of sports bet be. -- sports betting. i have grave concerns about gambling in general and sports betting in particular. there's no question that sports betting like other types of gambling and addictive behavior has ruined far too many lives. and to those dell terrous social effect, the threat sports betting poses to the integrity of the game. and you can see why the prohibition on sports wagering in the professional and amateur sports protection act passed the senate 88-5. i authored this legislation and fought tooth and nail to get it passed because i knew without it, sports gambling would rupt the integrity of -- corrupt the integrity of the game. despite these views, i'm also a realist. with a nearly $5 billion annually in legal sports wagers in nevada plus an estimated $150 billion a year in illegal sports wagers in the united states, we can't put the jeannie back in the -- genie back in the bottle. prohibition is not a possibility or prudent path forward. instead, now, that states are free to legalize sports betting

i think sport is still learning about it.er having my son it was a known for my team. my physio and my coach were kind of like, what is the process now? how do we start back into training? it was very much a learning process. in recent years, the likes of serena williams and laura kenny and the other athletes who are deciding they do not have to finish their career and have their family and find another direction, you can step back into sport. the more women who do it and talk about it and share their experiences, the better, because it can help other women who hope to achieve it as well. when serena williams came back at the french open she had issues with the blood clotting. at the weekend over the french open they said they would not accept what she had to wear next year. is that unfair? i don't know all the details of the suit that she wore, but every woman has a different experience through labour and recovery from after having a child and it is important for us to understand that so we can important for us to understand
