erik: what does that mean? more money? >> we have more support. erik: how much more?nnot say because we are still negotiating. that would bring more confidence to the market. at the same time, we are committed. the plan we had was five years to achieve a balance. our public accounts would be done next year. we are doing a huge effort. erik: mr. president, you want to avoid what happened on august 29 happening again. you went on national television and told argentines you had an for thet with the imf accelerated disbursement of funds. it turns out there was not an agreement and now we are talking about a new agreement and we have not heard anything from them. are you absolutely for the accelerated disbursement certaie imf will give you more money and it will give you the money on a faster timetable? ande have been negotiating we are close to a final agreement. that will benefit the program and it will benefit argentinians. erik: every single dollar counts but there are some people who will say that if you get $5 billion in additional funding from the imf, that's not en

erik: but it winner takes most maybe?be we are getting greater share but it is based on performance. if we deliver great returns, capital flows are way. that has been the virtuous cycle of our business. deliver great returns, investors have confidence in us, and you mentioned earlier about us emphasizing growth, right? that is an area we have not done as much in historically. we have the ability to move in that area, be it to life sciences, technology, or asia. but i do not think that pointing to a firm or group of firms that is lacking out or limiting competition in any way, shape, or form. we see that as our firm does better, we had the opportunity to grow. erik: if you are not carlyle, oaktree, brookfield, pbg, they are all either at or in excess of $100 billion. if you are not in one of those firms, it is hard to get there, isn't it? jonathan: it is harder to get there, but there are great firms out there aspiring to size. size.are advantages to there is the ability to attract people. i will mention my favorite stat f

erik: that is exactly right. get that to your strategic weight by dollar cost averaging or dipping your telling. i have seen enough over the years and we always ask what is the catalyst. i rarely see a specific catalyst causing a market to turn around on a dime. find things generally, over time, gets less and less worse. they don't necessarily get better overnights, but less worse. that is where investors particularly are looking. caroline: the emerging markets are catching up falling knife read our their pockets of opportunity and if there are, where should money be going into -- knife. are there a merging market pockets? where should money be going? erik: there are unique circumstances that are problematic. most are self-inflicted by various companies. what is particularly exciting is in parts of asia, southeast asia. look at indonesia and vietnam. however you define emerging markets if it is south korea, taiwan, a little west into india, there is great valuations in this part of the world. joe: let's talk abou
