kendis and lynda? >> elizabeth, thank you.. >> paul has the latest right now. as you mentioned, there is that breaking news development with the storm. paul, it's not good news. >> no, it's not. this is -- we don't have access to the sunshine which typically helps to fuel these storms. we're talking about 130-mile-per-hour sustained winds. the location is at 27.7 north, 86.6 west. that's the eye. and it's moving directly to the north at about 12 miles per hour. so it looks like it's going to be more of a direct hit, getting a little bit closer to mobile, alabama. so now as we take a look at this, we're talking already about a category 4. initially we think we'll wait until it gets access to thermodynamic energy and get a chance to strengthen to a 4 in the afternoon. it's already there. the sun is not there so this is going to stay possibly stronger than barely clipping that category of category 4. at 130-mile-per-hour sustained winds. it's a category 4, but i think it can possibly get stronger than that. >> that's scary. we're

lynda? >> and those strong winds were really a big part of the story for this storm.could still see some more wind damage with this. so something to keep in mind here, i do want to map out here, it does go into parts of north carolina and then eventually into parts of virginia as well, but just keep in mind here, what we are still talking about as far as winds are concerned will be some of those gusty winds. currently we have wind gusts of more than 50 miles per hour here through south carolina. it's knocked out sensors off towards the south and west. meanwhile, though, those wind gusts, again, are going to be on top of what is soggy soil through the carolinas where they've been hit with florence. which means even 30-mile-per-hour winds can still create a lot of trees down and power outages. >> i saw something, is it supposed to reform once it gets off the coast? >> it's not out of the question because it will be entering the warm waters of the gulf stream. that's why it's going to go out as a tropical storm. would it strengthen maybe a little bit? possibly. hard to s
