[applause] >> good afternoon everyone. first i would like to thank everyone for coming to share our story. and as john said, the name of the book is "doing time with my son". a mother and son and your love through incarceration. i just want to take a moment to acknowledge my publisher who is sitting here who, without her, this would never ever have come to fruition. it would have just been some stuff i wrote down. so really thank you for believing in our story and not only believing in it but knowing that it's a story that will help and has helped a lot of people over the year and and a half that it has been in publication. just to share a little bit about how the book came about. some years ago, my son found himself in a very difficult situation in which he was going to be going to jail. for a long time. and at that point, we had to figure out together, how we were going to process this and get through and the prayer was to get him back healthy and whole. which i think every mother o
