gerry: this expansion is almost ten years old.e had a year, year and a half or so of relatively strong growth. why should we be concerned that it might be coming to an end? >> well, what we're starting to see is, you know, recessions are one of those hard things to predict because you never know which straw on the camel's back is going to break the camel's back, but the pile of straws is starting to mount, and new zealand an easy list to tick off, one is the strong dollar making it harder for our companies to export abroad. weaker growth abroad, most notably, china. china's the second largest economy in the world. the it's a major market for europe, japan and for the u.s., and as they soften, they have knockoff effects throughout almost every developed and developing economy in the world. and that's hard toture in our models -- to capture in our models when we just look at these tariff wars. there's also the ongoing struggle on tariffs and how that may work into price increases down the road, stagflationary kinds of pressures. we'

gerri: no doubt this is very painful.e had traders tell me directly that it has been a difficult time for them. you have seen a move of more than 600 points intraday here. that comes on the back of yesterday, even more brutal. people down here are very angry at the federal reserve. don't like these two to three hikes for next year, interest rate hikes for next year. they are very angry about that. the fact that mnuchin, treasury secretary, said you guys are overreacting, that didn't go over so well either down here. let me talk, before we get to the president here, about dow leaders and laggards in this market. believe it or not there are some leaders. j & j, intel, pfizer here doing a little bit better. j & j most of all, mainly on a share buy-back there. and laggards, let's take a look at those as well. we have walgreens, walmart are laggards today and walgreens down 4.5%. so a very big move for that company right here. united technologies also in the red. s&p leaders, let's take a look at that. we know a lot of sectors
