so our grants are preservation grants and this national park service, i'm so sorry -- national park service grants, i always feel like i'm on a big spotlight when mr. stanton is speaking because he's one of my mentors. anyway, get back to it. our grants are the historic preservation grants and we preserve hbcus. we do all of the buildings. so if the building is on the national regulate we will give funds so that. we also have the african-american civil rights grants. so what i usually tell hbcus, if you're interested in it, look in your buildings and see if there was any civil rights activity. if there was civil rights activity and if the building is on the national register you can apply up to $500,000 to get that building restored. the other grant that we have with the civil rights grants are the oral history grants. and that is also 20th century. so with hbcus, the thing that you want to do is find anything that is civil-rights related on your campus and apply for that and you can do oral histories or museum exhibits. that is not just specific to hbcus. if you have any civil rights activ

this morning....officials with joshua tree national park say they've found a way to welcome visitors despite the government shutdown. the national park serviceey've avoided closing joshua tree by using money from recreation fees. thursday was the first day of full accessibility at the park. however with little to no supervision, some visitors have left tire marks, trash, and a tree was even cut down. but one tourist says for the most part, she's been impressed.
