on wednesday, howard shultz will join us. he may have 2020 presidential aspirations.nd it to hallie jackson to pick up our coverage. >> good thing there's nothing to talk about today, appreciate that. i'm in for stephanie ruhle who's on assignment. we start with that breaking news. former trump adviser roger stone now in federal custody. not a surprise. it is significant. here's the deal. early this morning, stone was arrested by the fbi at home in florida. he'll appear in court in fort ladder dale in two hours from now. cameras are not allowed in court but you can see we've got live coverage surrounding that building. stone faces seven criminal charges stemming from the mueller investigation including false statements, witness tampering and obstruction. the special counsel says stone lied about what he told congress.

even though as admiral carl shultz who was the commandant of the coast guard pointed out on national television, there are coast guard cutters serving in bahrain in the fifth fleet side by side with the u.s. navy, patrolling the waters of the persian gulf in the straits of hazardous e most waters in the world. their navy counterparts were being paid but the coast guard sailors and officers were not. in addition we have coast guard cutters over in the indo pacific region doing work in the straits of taiwan, again highly contested waters. the unique skills that coast guards men and women bring to that particular type of patrol is essential to our national defense and national securitypolicy. they again are a couple of of examples. constituents in the state department serving overseas in hazardous duty areas. the f.a.a., t.s.a., i.r.s., commerce, this morning i heard from one of the commerce employees. she went to work this morning. the payroll system was flooded with folks trying to submit their time cards and the system crashed. they are still trying to sort that out so that people wi
