(grant)(grant) eight people were killed in san bruno... 38 homes were dfestoryed... so the scope of that incident in terms of death and destruction is nothing like what we saw today. the reason today's fire was so reminiscent of san bruno, is the length of time it took the utility company to stop the gas that was fueling the relentless flames. in san bruno... a p-g & e pipe-line exploded udnerground... it took the utility from 60 to 90 minutes to stop the gas flow...and the national transportation safety board determined it took the company that long to stop the gas because of poor planning and organization. today... it took two hours and fifteen inutes to cap
