. >> reporter: david lohr's arrest came here in sunnyvale last week after he boarded a vta bus and a andxide on the bus. turns out the powder was just salt, but lohr had a warrant ta. surveillance pictures from inside a sunnyvale safeway show lohr, in the blue shirt, roaming the aisles january 26th. what you don't see are the moments when authorities say lohr poured hydrogen peroxide on to a tray holding rotisserie chickens and doused cartons of eggs in bleach. lohr had done the same thing in several los angeles area grocery stores in december and january, pouring bleach into supermarket refrigerators and freezers containing ice, alcohol, and seafood. and in november, he was arrested for pouring peroxide on food in several target stores in arizona. in a bizarre jailhouse phone call, lohr told a phoenix reporter he was doing it in an attempt to clean chemicals from the food. >> i didn't do anything wrong. i committed no crime. absolutely no crime. >> reporter: tonight shoppers surprised to hear of the tampering wondered about lohr's mental health. >> he's probably got some other issue
