i'm laura garcia. >> i'm marcus washington. let's talk about the weather, the last part of the storm. >> this the last little bit. once it moves through, we've got about 24 hours of this rain that will be very spotty before we dry out in time forth weekend. as we take a look at storm ranger, mobile radar, we can see heavier rain moving through parts of the solano county and also through southern naapa county as well. where it is bright red that indicates heavy rain. it is really pouring in those areas. also raining on the bay bridge, richmond san rafael bridge. we're also seeing rain moving across parts of the peninsula. i'm tracking all this. >> so far the speed sensors look already. i am concerned over here, that's the dublin area eastbound getting away from the dublin interchange. look how very light the traffic flow is. despite that, somewhere behind that sign, there's a crash. the car went off the roadway. i'm watching for slowing but i don't see any eastbound away from the bridge. westbound is your commute, a smooth flow

. >> i'm laura garcia. that rain is coming down. welcome to wednesday and welcome to spring. >> first day of spring, of course it gets colder. we're going to see a 10 degree drop in temperatures and some rain. we are seeing it pretty much covering the whole radar around the bay area except the north bay where it's much lighter. we're also seeing it tapering off for the ukiah area. heading down to santa rosa, it's raining and also pouring in san francisco over towards oakland. extending over towards the tri valley. as we get a closer look, the rain has been coming down at a rate of a tenth of an inch per hour around walnut creek and conco concord. for the south bay, it's lighter in san jose but heavier for morgan hill and gilroy. this rain tapers off today. more on that in a few minutes. it's a tough start across the bay bridge. >> everywhere is getting hit with the rain. no one is getting that lucky break. we are having an unlucky break on the bay bridge. traffic is backed up here. not all the cash lanes are open. you can see the ra

i'm laura garcia. okay, more rain coming this work week, too. >> it's going to be a soggy one for the north bay, but the rest of the bay area may not see that rain until later on this evening. so it's a slow-moving system that's bringing some rain mostly north of santa rosa, up to ukiah. you can see some of the rain that's on the radar, and so with this moving in, we'll see it working its way across the bay area today, and this is a first in a series of two systems, will bring us quite a few rounds of rain, also some gusty winds by 5:30. we're seeing it in the peninsula and the east bay. so i'll have another look at the time line coming up, and things are moving a little better at the bay bridge, mike? >> i gave marcus a hard time for being so optimistic but look, this is better. look, you can see the fast track lanes are moving well. early backup at the bay bridge, it slowed the incline, they have the metering lights on and moving at a standard pace, so it's only backed up at the bay bridge toll plaza
