you can make out the top of the transamerica tower. the clouds are fairly low. it doesn't have everybody, but the closer to the bay, the more likely you will notice the low- grade clouds. i mentioned earlier this would be the start of a gradual cooling trend to get us into the weekend. i want to give you the comparison on how that will play out. i am going to use concord as the example. i am going to use you because you are the best examples for how much warmer it can get inland. the average daytime high for right now for concord would be 72. we hit 86 yesterday. today going to 82. a little bit cooler. just enough that maybe you notice a difference. but look what happened the next few days. working our way back down into the mid-70s. we never really quite get back down to that 72, which would be average, but we get a lot closer by the time we get to the early part of this coming week. and we're going to start pulling ourselves away from those mid and upper 80s. and if we look at how we are doing this, a little bit of marine layer stuck along the coast, maybe eve

here is the live camera looking at transamerica pyramid. clear skies. just a little haze. and from the south lake tahoe camera right now, i just checked on the temperature in truckee, they are reporting a temperature of 70 degrees. amazing when you look at all that snow. it is kind of coolish weather. it is actually 70 toward truckee right now. we have the warm temperatures as well, matching our coastal temperatures from truckee to the coast, 70. around the bay lower 80s. the warmest locations inland will be in the lower 90s this afternoon. here is satellite. clouds just offshore and that is about it. the cloud bank is well offshore. clear skies from basically point earn to the bay area and closer to monterey bay. patchy fog will be forming later on this evening, tonight to early thursday morning especially. take a look at the current numbers. once again we are in the 80s. expect lower 90s toward walnut creek, livermore. san jose 85 degrees and santa rosa 81. san francisco a very warm 74 degrees. we are sunny and warm, well above average. most areas about 15 to 20 degrees

if you take a look at the live cameras, like the one on top of the transamerica tower, you see what'sme, a few drops of rain having already shown up. but i haven't seen anything significant on the radar coming into the city. look how low the clouds are. this is from our camera on the roof looking out over the bay with the bridge. the clouds are already a presence. but if we look inside them on high def doppler we are not seeing a lot for much of the bay, except the north bay. it is been pretty consistent so far from panel loma all the way down to marin, this is where we have had spotty showers so far for the morning. the roads will be a little slick here, but it hasn't been heavy rain. i want to stress that is the theme with today's rain, it's not a major storm. it's just enough we are all going to get rained on in a pretty steady. from about 7 am through one. let's watch it on future caste, 8 am here comes the better rain. look how organized that is. you can clearly see why the late part of the commute today is when they better rain gets here. i will stop at 11 am because i way to se
