abc 7 news reporter amy hollyfield is there for us. amy?: police have taken away the car, natasha, but you can get a look at the damage done to this home. the car crashed right into the garage here. two elderly women live here and the car, according to a neighbor, narrowly missed their bedrooms where they were awake watching television. they were not hurt. here is a look at the car when it was crashed into the house. the neighbor tells me it was very loud. the red cross is helping the women now find a place to stay. the gas and power has been turned off to the home but they are okay, and the neighbor says what happened the driver of the car that crashed had stolen the car in a carjacking, was being pursued by police when he crashed into this home. we're told he did run away from the scene, then he stole another car. so there is a second location involved. this is castro valley and grove way. this is the second stolen car. and the second crash. we do not know if he was arrested here or escaped again. we are working to get those details. the

abc 7 news reporter amy hollyfield is live for us at san francisco police headquarters. amy? >> reporter: reggie, police have made an arrest in this case. according to the "san francisco chronicle" they've arrested 47-year-old manuel amador, and what he is accused of doing is so awful, prosecutors plan to ask the judge not to set bail, saying he shouldn't be on the streets, that he is a danger to society. a 74-year-old woman was walking on prague street in the southeast part of the city when police say the man grabbed her and pulled her into a house. this happened near mclaren park. the man is accused of pulling her into the home and raping her for four to five hours. officers say there was a pit bull in the home that bit her several times. then the woman was left on the sidewalk. she was semiconscious when someone found her and called police. this happened at 8:00 in the morning two weeks ago. amador is in jail, and according to police he does not have any prior convictions. reporting live in san francisco, amy hollyfield, abc 7 news. >> amy, thank you. >>> happening today h

abc 7 news reporter amy hollyfield has more on this amazing video. amy?> reporter: hi, good morning, reggie. they got caught here in pleasant hill, but police are wondering if they have done this before. here is that video. it's surveillance video from the pleasant hill dick's sporting goods store. this happened wednesday night. you can see four young people are trying to run out of the door with armfuls of merchandise. their plan is interrupted by a police officer who was driving by and saw them. he chases the group and they all get arrested. this 18-year-old is in jail. the other four were arrested and released to their parents. they are juveniles so they're not releasing their names. shoppers reacted to the news. >> they're just getting very bold about walking into stores and taking and thinking they can get away with it. >> it'sy. both work, pay for ou. it's making things harder. >> reporter: now look at this video from the dick's in fairfield. three women stealing merchandise while yelling at security officers to g am them d to not touch them. this h
