kira: thank you for having me. i have been covering voter suppression and voting rights since the 2014 election. the 2018 midterm, i think everything we have heard today is very spot on. i have been on the ground in states across the country along the south. i have spent time reporting on native american reservations in south dakota and nevada. seeing issues of voter suppression on a wide scale. something i think is important to keep in mind is what is happening in the south. mark mentioned the terrible trio. we see these three actors that are playing a huge role in voter suppression. this is happening all across the large and small at the county level. i was in georgia ahead of the 2018 election. i was with a group called black voters matter started by cliff albright and natasha brown in georgia. we were driving across the state and we were helping people get out the vote and doing voter education. i did some reporting about them as they went across georgia. we were in a rural county, jefferson county. majority af
