nbc's morgan radford has that story. >> did you just open my car >> reporter: tonight, never before seen footage shot by sandra bland herself of the moment a texas state trooper pointed a stun gun at her during a routine traffic stop that went terribly wrong. >> you're threatening to drag me out of my own car? >> get out of the car! i will write you up. >> reporter: bland's own cell phone footage obtained by a dallas news station recorded her vantage point as the trooper stopped her for changing lanes without signaling. saying he felt threatened, he arrested her for assault. >> you're doing all this for a traffic signal? >> get over there. >> right, yeah. yeah. let's take this to court. >> reporter: three days later, bland was found hanging in her jail cell, her death ruled a suicide. her family believes she'd still be alive today if officer encinia had treated her differently. deo til now. >> what it does without a shadow his lack of judgment and his inability to deescalate that situation was what was the impetus behind why she was detained and ultimately why she died in police custody.

morgan radford is here with more. good morning. >> good morning. talk about a wake of destruction. those severe storms left a big mess in their wake and even more storms are on the way. 51 million people are at risk for severe weather this morning. they call it tornado alley for a reason. more than 50 twisters touching down across the southern plain this is weekend, tearing a path of destruction. much of oklahoma remains under a state of emergency. severe storms and heavy flooding leaving thousands without power. in the city of geronimo, trees were uprooted and homes were flattened. tornadoes in texas causing widespread damage in abilene, the mayor signing a disaster declaration. two super cell storms spawned several tornadoes in the south central part of nebraska, bringing with it heavy rain, wind and hail. splintering telephone poles and sending this tractor trailer off the highway. accuweather storm chaser reed timer was out chasing tornadoes again on saturday, a day after he found himself literally in the middle of this one in nebraska. >> tornado! >> as that tornado formed, it
