before i do the roll call, i want to open this meeting in honor of mike leon who is the co-owner of the eagle who passed away tragically on may 17th. six years mike and his business partner reopened eagle in soma. it is the eagle become a major destination for lgbt communities in san francisco and around the world. mike's legacy will live on through his work in the work to open eagle plaza located on 11th street. today was actually the official groundbreaking for the plaza. we offer our condolences to mike's family. now we'll start with the roll call. [cheers and applause] this morning, i was honored, my business partner, mike leon. on this historic day. i want to take the warmest welcome possible to the honorable mayor london breed, supervisor haney, supervisor mandelman. the greatest community, members of the leather and lgbt cultural district and the friends of eagle plaza. we're all here today after a long road. great accomplishments. eagle plaza started as an idea. six years ago my business partner and i met, built and have a conversation about breaking ground for construct, where we floated idea of the construction of the plaza. between the san francisco eagle bar and the construction. a plaza unique to the world that will honor the leather and lgbt communities, serve as a focal part for them to have events. and now this idea is about to come true. it's fitting this was elected for the first public plaza dedicated to the leather community. it's been the home for this community for decades. a special thanks to supervisor haney and mandelman for introducing and pushing forward the legislation to permit the co

george bush, bill webster, leon panetta, and mike pompeo. i will talk about pompeo because he is different in the way he was a restorer. the first three are here to stabilize the ship in times of controversy. when you think about bush becoming head of the agency right after the start of the scandals of the 1970's and the congressional investigations winding down, he is there to make the agency seem like it is not the ogre it was portrayed to be in the media and in some sectors of congress. initially, as a politician, agency professionals did not like this appointment because we didn't want the agency turned into another cabinet office with a political hack or big donors running it. bush was able to allay those concerns quickly because he was a nice guy. everybody could get along with him. he was very honest about his agenda. by the end of his 11 months he had accomplished exactly what president ford wanted him to do. webster gets appointed right after the iran-contra scandal. you can see why having a former judge and senior law enforcement o
