jordan has more for us from washington d.c. iran's and what else is the u.s. saying about sitting down that drone. well davy of the pentagon did put out a statement shortly after the president spoke to reporters indicating that there was some sort of incident between the u.s.s. boxer and some sort of aerial craft which it said was getting too close for comfort on paraphrasing here and so the u.s.s. boxer crew took out this. aircraft it did not identify it specifically as a drone or as actually being belonging to iran but the implication is very clear that the pentagon considered it a threat and so the crew of the u.s.s. boxer did what needed to be done in order to protect themselves and to protect the vessel it's noteworthy however that beyond the president's statements on thursday afternoon and the pentagon statement that there hasn't been much more in the way of saber rattling if i may use that cliche certainly we have seen in recent weeks whenever there has been some sort of incident between the u.s. and iran there's been a ratcheting up of the rhetoric from the trumpet ministration but it's noteworthy t
