mayor sharon westen broom. a busy day for you. we've been looking at these rising waters here, certainly the winds have picked up. what's your greatest concern right now? >> we are certainly concerned about the comey river rising, because, as you know, in 2016 we had a massive flood here that impacted thousands of homes. and many of them were in baton rouge as a result. so we're monitoring that. we're concerned about the rising levels of that. but in the meantime, we are preparing. we've been doing it all week, and so i believe that our citizens are in a position, emergency preparedness, they are ready for whatever comes. >> reporter: i know some of the public works folk have gone out, looking at the pumps, making sure the drains and everything is going to drain properly. because in this area, even though it's inland, as we say, the water has nowhere to go if it comes, right? so you feel like that's in order? >> absolutely. our department of public works has been very proactive during the whole week, making sure that we address th
