so who is this wikipedia editing community?? yes, so this is something that, like i said, i took for granted and we just really learned about. so there's about 130,000 editors of wikipedia, and it is important to remember that it really is an open and free encyclopaedia, and how the content is made isjust by encyclopaedia, and how the content is made is just by contributions encyclopaedia, and how the content is made isjust by contributions by society. which is really important, because that is its model. but what happens is, at the moment, really the population of wikipedia editors aren't very diverse. so around 90% of them are men, and they are mainly located in north america. so it really would affect the type of perspectives, and also knowledge and awareness, that influences what the content is. so very few women are editors, and very few people from diverse groups. so even through our wikipedia edit—a—thon, we added a number of pages but we also trained up number of pages but we also trained up a0 women on this new skill.
