[laughter] this is an informational item in regard to the anticipated amendment for the feasibility cost share agreement between the united states army corps of engineers and the san francisco waterfront flood resiliency study. the name changed, the federal government does, in fact, believe in the resiliency, climate change, and sealevel rise, in the army core has sought to change the name of the study to reinforce that. as you heard from brad, the port is seeking federal assistance or flood protection since 2012. and november of 2016. they allocated $100,000 and completed determination for the waterfront in 2017. the court in the port commence the flood study for a portion of the waterfront downtown. and in june of 2018, the big one , the port was in awarded a new start for a much larger general investigation. we suspended the cap 103. the process includes four legislative acts. numbe

. >>> the san francisco ferry building is about to get a serious makeover, the historic landmark along the waterfront is going to undergo a two-year renovation project including repairs to the fagade and a new paint job among many other upgrades. joining is now in studio to talk more about the work that's going to be happening is drew gordon, senior vice president at hudson pacific properties. thanks for coming in today, pretty exciting project here.>> this is a 120-year-old landmark, along the waterfront in san francisco. how are you planning to restore the ferry building's original beauty? >> sure, if you are a fan of the ferry building, it's a great day. we will be doing some major restoration work to bring it back to its historic integrity, and we will restore the color back to its original gray hue. it will take some time but when it's done it will be fabulous. >> let's talk about that paint job. ugly when the work is all done, that's what people will probably notice when they walk by. you have come up with a distinct color, it's been dubbed ferry building gray. how did you come up with this col

san francisco. we are using part of our peas -y exciting. [reading notes] the project, along the waterfront, can make environmental resiliency without raising its own sea level which we will do, as well as producing improvements to our seawall and providing funds for ongoing seawall improvement to this end other parts of the city. finally, historic preservation. it has been one of the most challenging portions of the site, so people have mentioned, this site is producing a large amount of community benefits, plus affordable housing without public subsidy. the three things before you today, unit three and station a, incredibly compelling, wonderful preservation targets. also costing a huge amount of money. being pushed by the community, we found a way that all three will be preserved and will be part of this project. what you see before you today will be transformed into a state-of-the-art adaptive reuse building and reserved to the public for a very long time to come. finally, the project overall, it will be making nearly $900 million of public investments, in community benefits. we are inc
