talks are to resume in 2 days from now insist they say any point in them actually meeting well the commerce department said that this is separate from the trade talks but then i suppose they would say to us i think i think who knows maybe they'll be able to separate this out but it's certainly not going to do anything to make the atmosphere of these talks which are already tense even worse and i think we're going to have to wait and see how that comes out as well but it's not going to help which of these 2 sides can actually stomach a protracted trade or tariff battle that's one thing that we've been looking at i mean the u.s. certainly sees itself in the having the upper hand but the chinese have shown the chinese economy has shown itself very resilient slowing down would love the analysts you talk to would say that's not actually related to a trade war it's to do with internal matters and the domestic market so it looks like they're both fairly evenly matched at the moment all right cliff it can and they're our very own china expert and also from the business of course thank you so much well the uni
